⚠️ California Proposition 65 Warning

At Furniture For Best, your safety and trust are our highest priorities. As part of our commitment to transparency and compliance with California law, we want to provide important information regarding Proposition 65 (also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986).

What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 is a California law that requires businesses to provide warnings to consumers if products contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

Originally established to protect California’s drinking water, Prop 65 now applies to many everyday products and industries, including furniture, clothing, jewelry, automobiles, and household goods. The law currently includes over 850 substances.

Why You Might See a Warning Label?

Some of the products we carry may contain materials subject to Prop 65 regulations. For example, wood dust, a common byproduct in furniture manufacturing, is one such listed substance.

As required by law, affected products may include the following label:

“WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including wood dust, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, visit www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/furniture.”

These labels are commonly seen in California and are intended to help consumers make informed decisions.

Our Commitment to You

We want to assure you that all of our products are sourced from reputable manufacturers and are produced under strict quality standards. Our partners are committed to minimizing the presence of harmful substances while delivering safe, beautiful, and durable furniture.
