At Furniture For Best, we are committed to following California’s Used Mattress Recovery and Recycling Act to ensure that mattresses are disposed of responsibly and sustainably.

When you purchase a new mattress and/or foundation from us, we will pick up your old mattress and/or foundation at no additional cost for recycling. This service is available at the time of delivery of your new mattress and/or foundation.

Please note that we may refuse to pick up a used mattress if it is determined to be contaminated or poses a risk to our team, new products, or equipment.​

Mattress and Foundation Definitions:

​

• Foundation: A structure covered with fabric (ticking) used to support a mattress or sleep surface. This includes box springs, foam, or other materials.

• Mattress: A resilient product covered with fabric, designed for sleeping. This includes mattresses, foundations, futon mattresses, and renovated mattresses or foundations.

Items NOT considered mattresses include:

​

• Mattress pads or toppers.

• Sleeping bags or pillows.

• Car beds, crib mattresses, or bassinet mattresses.

• Pads for juvenile products (e.g., strollers, playpens, or infant carriers).

• Water beds, air mattresses without upholstery, or gaseous-filled ticking products.

• Upholstered furniture, including sofa beds, unless they contain a detachable mattress.
